Welcome to Brampton Curling Club!

Brampton Curling Club has been offering a social, welcoming space to curlers at all levels since 1880. We offer new curlers instruction, equipment to get started and a social environment to meet new people. BCC also offers competitive and social leagues for experienced curlers to play at whatever level they are linterested in. If you are looking for different kind of winter activity that is open to both adults and kids please read on!

Curling Season:

Our season starts in early October and runs until the end of March.  Our final fall schedule will be published in the summer with registration beginning shortly thereafter.  Click here to see our full calendar.

Most members curl the whole season but there are some opportunities to sign up for the fall or winter only.  So if you are interested and it's off season, contact us to see what opportunities are available. Registration for New Members will begin  September 2026.  Follow us on FB or IG for exact dates (links below).

Facility :

We have a beautiful, dedicated facility located at 46 McMurchy Avenue South Brampton, Ontario with 6 ice sheets, heated viewing areas, a full bar and locker rooms with storage for members.

Open House:

We have drop in open house early October when you can bring your whole family to the club to give you a chance to try curling - no experience necessary. All equipment is provided (just carry in a clean pair of running shoes) Everyone will have a chance to throw some rocks and sweep H-A-R-D! The Open House is open to all ages, including children. While we don't have a specific minimum age for kids, we find that around 7 years old is when most kids are old enough to feel comfortable on the ice and have the strength to throw the rocks. We also offer an open house in March if you missed the Fall season.

Instructional League:

BCC offers an instructional league where each week certified instructors introduce the different aspects of the sport, followed by some game time to put it all into practice. This is a great way for new curlers to learn the basics in a safe and fun environment.  This league runs for 4 consecutive weeks at the start of the fall and winter seasons so you are ready to play in one of our other leagues. More details here: https://bramptoncc.com/eventPage.php/fall-instructional-league

If getting squatting down to deliver the rock as you may have seen on TV is beyond your flexibility, have no fear, we teach “Stick Curling” as well. This allows you the ability to participate from a standing position while playing.

Equipment:

If you are new to the sport of curling we offer all the equipment you will need to get started.  All you need to bring is a new pair of running shoes that have not been worn outside.  This is important as we work very hard at the club to keep the ice free of dirt and debris that would interfere with sliding on the ice.

You need a slider under one shoe while you are delivering the rock and grippers that fit over your shoes to ensure that you can walk safely on the ice.  These can both be borrowed each time you play.  Brooms are provided as well for sweeping and rock delivery.

Cost

Cost will depend on the league that you register for.  But there is a club membership fee and then a fee for each league you play in.  Once you have decided, we can help you sort out the costs.

Adult Leagues

We offer a number of leagues to accommodate your schedule and preferences. Most of our Leagues are based on Team Entry (players organize their own teams and register with the convenor as a team).  There are three leagues that are based on Individual Entries (each person registers on their own).  However, choose whatever leagues fits your schedule and interest and the convenors will work on finding you a spot on a team.

Youth Leagues:

We run youth leagues for children between the ages of 7-12 and 12-19. Qualified instructors will teach a short lesson each week for skills development, followed by a game where the children can practice their skills. New children up to 12 years of age play with special 'light' rocks, which are approximately half the weight of normal stones. Please note that these ages are approximate and we will move curlers to whichever program makes is the most fun and rewarding for them.

Sunday - Little Rocks (11:30am - 60min)

Sunday - Bantam/Juniors (12:30pm - 90min)
