Welcome to the 2026–2027 Curling Season!

Dear Returning and New Members,

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire Brampton Curling Club (BCC) team, I would like to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to everyone joining us for the 2026-2027 season. Whether you are a long-time member returning to familiar ice or a brand-new curler taking your very first slides with us, we are thrilled to have you as part of our vibrant community.

Celebrating Our Extraordinary Volunteers & Convenors
Our club thrives because of the incredible community spirit that defines Brampton Curling Club. I want to take a moment to express how immensely proud I am of the extraordinary number of volunteers who step up year after year to support our club operations, leagues, youth programs, and social events. From our Early Bird Spiel, Turkey Spiel, and Spirit Tree Women’s Spiel to the Ralph Jarchow Memorial and Beer & Pizza nights, our convenors and volunteers put in tremendous effort behind the scenes to deliver enjoyable, memorable events.

Volunteers truly are the cornerstones of our club, and your continuous dedication makes BCC such a welcoming place to curl.

Spreading the Word about Curling
As we step onto the ice for another great season, expanding our membership remains a key priority for all of us. The most effective path to inviting new curlers into our community is through personal recommendations.

We encourage both our returning members and our newcomers to keep spreading the word about the Brampton Curling Club. Tell your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers about your experiences on the ice. Bring them out to an open house, encourage them to attend a Beer & Pizza night, or invite them to join a league. Every conversation helps strengthen our curling family.

2026–2027 Bonspiels and other fun Curling events:

Beer & Pizza Nights: Always fun events and very well attended, these evenings bring music, curling and of course Beer & Pizza!
Early Bird Spiel on October 17: This bonspiel is a long-standing tradition of the club and is perfectly timed as the official start-of-season bonspiel. It’s open to all members and is a key event for encouraging member engagement and participation.
The Tune-Up Spiel on November 7: Our free spiel on November 8th encourages members to bring non-member friends, promoting the sport we all love.
Dirty Dozen Spiel on November 28:
Turkey Spiel on December 5: This was a long-standing tradition of the Club and a major highlight of the season. As a traditional bonspiel open to all members, it offers a great day of curling fun for everyone.
Christmas Spiel on December 27: This festive bonspiel is always resounding success, always sold-out! Offers a fantastic day filled with holiday cheer, excellent curling and community spirit, reminding everyone why this mixed bonspiel is a beloved tradition at the Club.
Halton Peel starting on January 16, 2027 - The annual Halton-Peel bonspiel which has been running for 56 years is a one week event held starting generally on the second Saturday into the New Year. It is open to all adult teams of any gender whose members belong to Brampton, Orangeville, Acton, Milton, North Halton and recently, the Chinguacousy Club. The event has been capped at the first 48 teams to register and pay. All teams are guaranteed at least 3 games and the possibility exists for teams to play as many as 6 games over the course of the week. Teams are broken into A, B, C and D divisions based on their record on the first Saturday so regardless of a team's ability or expertise they generally end up in a division with teams of a similar calibre. The spiel is popular because teams get the opportunity to play teams from other clubs at other clubs and experience their hospitality.
Little Rock & Bantam Spiel on January 23, 2027: This event showcases our youngest curlers, living up to its guiding principle of emphasizing fun before competition. A special thank you to the Coaches and all the dedicated parent volunteers who make the day run smoothly, ensuring a great experience for all the participants.
The Spirit Tree Women’s Spiel on February 6, 2027: A fun, themed spiel dedicated to our female members. The energy was fantastic, especially with members showing up in great costumes to match the theme. From the breakfast to the lunch and reception, plus great giveaways, everyone had a wonderful time celebrating the spirit of the sport. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this bonspiel such a success!

Winter Open House on February 20, 2027
Ralf Jarchow Memorial Spiel on March 13, 2027: This event is held in memory of former member Ralf Jarchow. Participants enjoy excellent curling, great camaraderie, an outstanding lunch, and a chance to open their hearts and wallets for a silent auction and raffle featuring excellent prizes. All proceeds from the event are dedicated to the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness Redevelopment Project. A massive thank you to all the curlers, generous donors, and the many friends and members of the Jarchow family who volunteer and help organize, making this a hugely successful event, including the team at PDC lawyers.

6-Ender, Year-Ender Spiel on April 3, 2027: This single-draw event is the perfect final bonspiel for the club's curling diehards. It’s a great opportunity for members to try a different position and enjoy a day of curling with new teammates from outside their usual leagues.
