Rescheduling or Cancelling Games

Editor: unknown
Date: 2011-12-14

For the 2011/2012 Curling Season, the following rules apply for Re-scheduling or Cancelling Games:

If a game needs to be re-scheduled, the City of Brampton requires that we give them 5 days notice to ensure that the ice is available and that the change can be accommodated. The procedure remains the same, that is, you should notify your convenor that you wish to re-schedule the game and the preferred new date(s). The convenor will then make the necessary contacts to arrange the change. If the ice requested has been rented or is otherwise unavailable you will be notified as soon as possible so that you may select an alternate date.

If a game is to be cancelled because of a default and it will not be re-scheduled, the City of Brampton requires 3 weeks notice so that we do not get charged for the ice. It is therefore essential that you notify your convenor as far ahead as possible if you know that you will be unable to play a game. Please make good use of the spare list to ensure that you do not have cancel a game. If your league has a bye situation you are encourage to first go to the team with a bye when looking for a spare.

Please contact your league convenor, Bruce Tune (Games Chair), Ken Griffith (Games Committee Board Liason) with any questions.
